Strategic Sponsors in the Community

Open Hand has been awarded several grants and large donations from philanthropists and churches. These partners are making a difference to Fredericksburg area youth and we value their trust and cooperation.
In April 2010, the Trust created by Duff McDuff Green Jr. established a fund at the Community Foundation intended to support – in a timeless way – the causes he cared so deeply about. Among Mr. Green's passions were preserving land and providing opportunities for children to have healthy outdoor activities.
Established in 1993, the Joe and Mary Wilson Community Benefit Fund is intended to address a wide range of health issues. The Fund provides grants to local nonprofit organizations once a year and to date has funded grants totaling more than $9 million.
As followers of Jesus Christ, New City Fellowship of Fredericksburg is a worshipping family intentionally seeking to make disciples from every nation, tribe, people, and language reflecting the grace, mercy and justice of God in our communities, our nation and our world.
